a real kind of board

I started a skateboard company called ambitious about 4 years ago now. I did custom longboard building for 2 years and created a very good reputation for myself in the extreme bends department. I built every board from maple and a water based wood glue.

Wood glue is ok but it allows flex, a shorter life span and you can't ride in the rain or it will usually start to delaminate within a month .


I got picked up by Kebbek Skateboards last month and started riding their boards right away. I knew it would be strange riding something I had not produced in my own basement but I was up for the challenge.

I can honestly say I am so lucky to be riding a Kebbek board. They are so rock solid. I have ridden mine in the pouring rain during a sudden thunder storm, I have thrown it into a curb full speed and I've taken it off some jumps.


I am currently riding The John Barnett Model, I have to say it feels really good to be on a Light Crisp longboard. I can really feel a difference in my riding when on a Kebbek board, I love it.

So it seems the longer I live in quebec the more they bring me into the family. The height of Jenga, but as intense as a roller coaster

So I went skating last week with Matt K and Dimm. We hit a run called Satans Tail. Concrete run with tons of switchbacks and stuff. You can get a lot of speed before your first set of turns, really fun to tuck into. However at the top I decided to Try something different. I wanted to do a stand up and Slash a pylon that was on the track. Instead of bringing style to the track, on this run, I brought my own skin. The pylon got caught under my board and I "Fell like a door" Quote matt K. After getting overly pitted because of doing something semi stupid, we hauled ass down the rest of the track and had a lot of good fun. Thus destroying another pair of jeans . What an awesome Session =D

This weekend I'm in ontario just catching up on different things. Although I really wanted to skate its raining. so i figure if you haven't already watch this clip you should.



And if its not raining where you are then I hope its cause you are on your way to Maryhill FOS . This photo tells me that sometimes using an alias is a good idea ;)

So it was an amazing weekend, lots of people alot of stoke, and some drinking with beach volley ball after making it an all around good time.

I was approached by Free For All Boardshop and got hooked up with a new sponsorship. As i always say, with every good sponsorship comes a free tshirt =D And i didnt let FFAshop.com down when I got the surprising news of 1st place in Slopstyle, and 1st place in Big Air.

The Slopstyle event was stacked full of great riders, everyone was tearing it up. it feels great just to be a part of this scene with so many people pushing the limit.

The big air was crazy too, I had about 5 people plus jakoop beside me the whole time and I already know how crazy he is with kickers. So we were getting a pretty good jump competition going. playing rock paper scissors to see who will drop in first. both trying to beat the next person and pushing each other a little further each time. it was intense .

I had not done any jumps with my new Kebbek board , but the Nico model really locked in my feet and i got just past 20Ft in distance. COOL STORY BRO
